Purdy is in a perfect situation. He should have been picked off multiple times last night. Put Jones on the 49ers and he would look great.

That being said Jones is mid, can’t see the field well, has poor pocket presence at times, afraid to throw if his receiver isn’t wide open and can’t throw TD’s. He’s had the same problems with three different coaches. He’s a good game manager that will look good against bad defenses and struggle against strong defenses.

I would say overall that Jones is more athletic and talented than Purdy.

The thing with Brock Purdy is that while he doesn't have A1 physical tools he has A1 intangibles. I don't think people realize how complicated Kyle Shanahan's offensive schemes and concepts are to pick up despite this and other 49ers fans will attest to it be picked these concepts up pretty quickly as a 22 year old rookie. He's a film maniac and George Kittle low key spilled the proverbial tea in the Amazon post game. Brock Purdy is told by Shanahan if he sees a read and he's one on one he has the green light to throw the ball full stop. Those almost INTs are basically calculated risks.

The 49ers offensive line has a 2nd year 4th round pick and a fifth round pick starting at right guard and tackle respectively and defenses have been picking on them all season so in actually Brock could probably produce better than you think behind a bad O-line as he gets rid of the ball quickly and he is quick enough to dodge the sack or get you an quick 5-6 yards.

Jones isn't good...but he's better than Purdy.

Put Purdy on some other bad offense that doesn't have YAC gawds on it and he might not even look like an NFL QB.

I mean he was drafted last for a reason.

He just a dude in the most perfect situation you can be in. All he got to do is not fukk up. He does not have to actually "make" any play.

49ers should be ecstatic. In a world where you got to pay your QB record setting money to keep him...they sure as shyt won't be having to do that with Purdy, cause aint nobody else in the league going to offer much. The rich get richer.

Purdy has an offensive line, RB that can catch n run, a wr that can catch n run, aiyuk is very good wr too. He has a tight end that can block well. Dude is on a stacked team. With that said long term he will be better because the game will get easier for him.

Jones is trash but it's hard to truly compare to Purdy because he has such a good team around him. Would love to see a stat on almost picks as I swear everytime he basically throws one some insane luck happens where the DB doesnt catch it
