My father definition of #blackexcellence... I was a dikk when I was younger, but now that I've been in the real world for an ample amount of time I see he was that nicca....I hope I can be half the man he is
My father: alcoholic father and mother worked as a maid in MS and LA. Youngest of 5 children. Joined Air Force and went to college to provide for me and moms. The sole reason I'm in college. Battled racism all through his life.
My papa (RIP): From Memphis. Vietnam vet. Was a chief master Sgt. In Air Force. Was the first black man I saw whites show submissiveness and respect to. Stayed clean and sharp. Would've ended up doing stupid shyt in the streets of it wasn't for his guidance. Taught at predominantly black high school. All the nikkas in my hood respected and loved him cause they were former students. I just wish he was here today to see what I accomplished.
My pops is a revolutionary activist. Grandpa on my mom's side was the work hard, say little type. Only time m e I cried on my wedding day was when he said he was proud of me.
