A child born to Jamaican-born and raised parents in the U.S. is likely to be jamaican first from a cultural aspect because at home you're raised by Jamaican standards. They may be a hybrid because everything outside of home (classmates/peers) influences them to be americanized but their core leans toward jamaican.
I joke around and call haitian kids who grew up here "hybrid haitians" because to me they have a mixture of Haitian and black American values but they are still haitian to me in reality.
