I buy a lot of series rather than stand-alone novels. Been this way since I was about 12-13 years old. I'll go back and re-read a series I particularly enjoyed every once in a while. Mostly Sci-Fi and Fantasy novels, but I'm also a big Stephen King & Tom Clancy fan. Think I've read every book by R. A. Salvatore at least 3 times just because I'm a former D & D nerd.

Nowadays there simply isn't enough hours in the day for me to get re-acquainted with some serious leisurely reading...I do however clock about 2 books (PDF interactive E-books to be specific) a month on average, but that is all dense work related text book style literature....no pics what so ever :sadcam:. Down the line when time permits...I fully intend to catch up on some John Grisham novels & J.R.R Tolkien's masterpiece :blessed:

I've read around 38 or 39 books this year. Mostly fantasy and sci-fi. My cousin told me that if I spent my time reading books that were intellectually stimulating instead of like The Hunger Games or Game of Thrones, I'd be smart as fukk by now :skip:

Fiction books breh? Yeah you'd be smart as hell and a beast at dungeons and dragons.. Reading fiction books isn't no different from watching tv or playing video games :skip:

I used to, but ever since I adapted to e-books, I find myself taking forever to finish one book. I

guess because, there's no urgency since it's at a touch of an app, and not an actual book I'm turning pages to:yeshrug:

It depends on the book. If im reading some a nice novel then I'll quickly just read it, but if the book is being read for knowledge which makes up at least 80% of my reading then I usually take time to read it properly, make notes, reread again all which can take time

I found myself multi-tasking so much that I needed 3 balls in the air (hearing something, watching something, reading something else) to be stimulated enough. I used to have incredible focus before this and read books very quickly. So now I'm just forced myself to focus on one thing at a time, sometimes, and it's getting a lot better.
