Randy is a bigger deal with the common WWE fan than most us wrestling nerds like to give him credit for... but even so, Batista is still >>>

Even after all this time Orton hasn't come close to Batista's peak.

Orton has only had one good run as a main eventer in WWE. Most of his best stuff was when he was a mid carder.

Batista
he started from a lower spot and achieved just as much

orton had the world handed to him
Nobody is bringing up the obvious...they had Blandy pushed ahead of Cena in 04. Cena rarely lost as US Champion but they did the cornation of Blandy at Summerslam 04. He was buried by Cripple H one month later because he didn' want to put him over as top heel and forced that sorry face turn that got him booed out by Rumble 05 while Batista ascended because he was kicking ass and not looking weak.

Batista then went over Cripple H 3 str8 ppvs before he left televison. The question is not even really worth two pages. Blandy got kicked out of the main event scene for 3 years and only got the belt when Cena got injured.

Batista if you look beyond the surface level of things.

Orton peaked early and when it looked like he'd have a hot year (09) he jobbed to Triple H or got stalled in that long ass, never ending feud with John Cena. Batista meanwhile hit his peak and continued to soar for the next 3-4 years with classic matches & feuds with Undertaker, Edge, Eddie, Booker, etc.

Batista had good runs as face and heel, great matches, and had several interesting character developments while never staying in a role too long. Randy has basically been the same guy since 2008 now with little difference if he’s heel or face. Not sure how much is the fault of his own indifference or bad writing. Both have plenty of high quality matches, but Batista thrived on his own while Randy never really got to the level he should have away from evolution. I gotta got with Batista.

Batista has a classic feud with Undertaker and Edge. Where's Klandy's classics?

Batista did more overall without spamming title reigns. Sure, Orton won a ton of titles, but I’ve never felt more “who cares” about a guys title reigns then Orton. Plus, Batista had his success in a shorter amount of time, he never had huge chunks of pure boredom in his career like Orton.

Randy.

He was treated like a big deal early.

Batista had to go thru being D-Von bodyguard, then had to take tha backseat in Evolution as the muscle

You must’ve forgot about Orton feuding with Hardcore Holly, Steven Richards, and getting thoroughly decimated by Brock Lesnar in 2002 :mjlol::yeshrug:

Batista if we take into account the amount of time he was in the E and what he did afterwards.
