I lived in south Dallas from 80-87. They took over the jheri curl wave, and still trying to hold on in some pockets of the city. My dad was all about his curl up until 99. He had his sister do my sister's and my hair on Saturdays shyt would literally take all day and I would go home and comb that shyt out immediately and get in all the trouble. Then you had to sleep with that damn bag on so it doesn't dry out. You'd find one good position and don't move all night just so you don't feel that soggy ass bag shift. It was terrible.
