in ‘95... i can remember walking into circuit city with a bunch of heads to the music section as you enter it was a huge white broad of the weekly top 10 songs on HOT 97 ( the overall number 1 radio station in the overall number 1 city )
and biggie had 7 joints on there - shyt was incredible
even a street, hood, club classic song like this, really even isn't taking into high consideration

Biggie... especially considering what he was up against.... meaning hip hop was still on the course of breaking thru in the mainstream. Hip hop was still getting acceptance from the rest of the world and Biggie cut thru

By the 2000’s hip hop was well infused in pop and rock music.
