Yeah I bet the same guy that kept 100 percent of bigs publishing and put the battery in his back thinking some crips would protect him really misses him a whole lot. He looked more scared for his own life when they interviewed him. He's always been an egotistical scumbag that ruined peoples lives/careers while still somehow managing to poison hiphop.

Puff was like,

I'll get sting to let us use the sample, sauce to write it, faith to sing it and I just have to make it seem like I'm heartbroken when I read the lyrics in the most monotone voice possible. Platinum again!

I thought it was for big?

Big....big payday. :takedat:

I know diddy has a well-deserved reputation for being an a$$hole, but questioning his motives for the song to such a degree comes off too gossipy and mean-spirited. By all accounts Puff and big had a deeper relationship than just label mate and employee, and for all the narratives that have emerged from behind the scenes in the industry during those days, I've never heard much evidence that Big and Puff had any sort of real discord or personal animosity with each other.

They both seemed to like and respect one another...None of big's mans, his mama, etc have come forward to share much to the contrary. On the flip side we know that Suge and Pac were headed towards a financial showdown, and there was brewing tensions between them because of Pac's disillusionment with DR before his murder.

Comment on the song, but not what was in the man's heart. Especially when there isnt any evidence to back up such a slanderous allegation. Was the track financially exploitative? Yes, but thats the music industry. Besides had Puff not made a tribute, people would have claimed he didnt think enough of Big to make a song about him.

It was a pretty good tribute song. That "On that morning, when this life is over/I know I'll see your face" part always has me :to:R.I.P. BIG
