I personally think it should go between Michael or Heroes and Villains. Utopia was a let down to me and Her Loss, while it was Drake's best post 2020 album, it's still not enough. I'm going to revisit to both later today, but do y'all think?
By rights it should be Nas, he’s got the highest acclaimed album of all the albums nominated almost by a landslide.
But in the twenty eight years that Best Rap Album has been presented at the Grammys, the highest selling album has won TWENTY TIMES, regardless of acclaim, so going by majority tradition it’ll be Utopia. If not Utopia it’ll be Heroes & Villains because that album both sold well, had generally good acclaim, and Metro is also nominated in the General Field for Producer Of The Year (Non-Classical)
An uncertified album has NEVER beaten a certified album in Best Rap Album history. Never not once. The only time an uncertified album has ever won is ironically enough Nas in 2021 for Kings Disease 1, but he was up against 4 other uncertified albums and he was the highest seller out of all of them.
The killer Mike album a probably win. It’s the kind of music Grammy’s like. Personally would pick utopia but that’s only because that’s the only one I’ve cared to listen to, not because I really liked it
DamnLol Killer Mike’s album is definitely NOT the “kind” of music that Grammys like. No album sampling the voice of Louis Farrakhan has ever won a Grammy
