Jill Stein and Gary Johnson each did an AMA on Reddit a week ago and I was impressed by both. Real ideas and solutions were presented. Good stuff.

IMO, if anything it's more "fear of Republicans winning" that motivates people to vote Democrat. Sad to say, but having votes split between Democrats and the Green Party would only help Republicans.

So what happens when the Democrats shift so far to the right that you have a choice for Bachman(R) and Palin(D). You picking lesser of two evils or olding true to your values?

All we need is ONE independent candidate to poll at 15% and we can get a third person in the debates.

that's another reason, but there's a large amount of people that vote democrat and never consider another party when their actually ideologies align with something like the green party a lot more.

The democratic party is more center right than actual left, but because the repubs are so far to the right liberals just say "well this is the less conservative major party therefore its the 'good' party"

IMO I think it would be better if we took elements from australias voting system of listing parties in order of preference. Dems/repubs would still win anyways because of the ridiculous amounts of money and corporate influence that's backing them but it would atleast be something

well if people run out and vote for Jill Stein (or other 3rd party candidates), and Romney wins, it'll be the 'Ralph Nader effect' all over again

personally I think it's worth it in order to make 3rd (4th, 5th...) parties more viable. but I know a lot of people wouldn't agree...

You mean Instant-runoff voting? That would be great, but I doubt either party is having it. :sadcam:

It's a bit hilarious how most people support the ideas of Gary Johnson and Jill Stein but will still blindly vote for Obama when the time comes.

As someone else said they are not on the ticket it's better voting for obama than having republican get the only votes, unless you are retarded?

Wanting a republican to win doesn't make one retarded. I thought this was a free country?

We have to get rid of this 'us vs. them' attitude because it's annoying as hell. It's a harmful and regressive way of thinking. When Nicki Minaj jokingly (or seriously...hard to tell with that faux bisexual c*nt) endorsed Romney people sent her death threats. Not all black people are obligated to vote for Obama. Freedom of choice (voting red, blue, green, or not voting at all) is something we should encourage and accept. Just because someone has a different opinion than yours doesn't make them retarded.

Bear in mind that I don't follow politics (it's all bullshyt) and don't know much about Romney's policies. So maybe he said something stupid that made you guys hate him so much. Or maybe you all see republicans as 'evil racist cacs hellbent on destroying the world' (even though both democrat and republicans answer to the same master).

When did I say that you have to vote for obama or that you can't vote for a republican?:mindblown:

I am referring to your post about Jill stein she aligns more with democrats than republican policies even if they don't everything she wants. If you vote for a republican in today's world they are against many of the things she stands for. And if you think there is no difference between the democrats and republicans in today's world you are insane. I don't like romney because he caters to the far right of the republicans and he flip flops on issues so much that you can't take anything he says seriously.
