Tommy Dreamer and it's not particularly close. Raven, Taz and Sandman all had great talent, but Dreamer was the champ of an organization the same time they had a prime RVD.:manny:

Hmmm....Taz and Dreamer immediately came to mind and the arguments for Dreamer in here seem to make him a lock, BUT I'll throw in a wild card for the sake of argument....

Unless I'm mistaken, if Heyman doesn't let an injured Steve Austin (fresh from getting fired by WCW) shine in front of the camera and bring forth this beer-drinking/anti-establishment persona, we probably never get the Austin 3:16 that we came to know and love. :ld:

He says that if he hadn't gotten the call from Paul, he'd have probably just been wrestling in Japan and have never gotten the Stone Cold gimmick.

Honorable mention: Joey Styles

I say Austin would have made his way back to WCW within a couple years right during the NWO days and who knows. Bischoff stayed making up with people that shyt on him.

Surprised no one mentioned Shane Douglas :mjpls:
I'd rank him it
  1. Taz
  2. Franchise Shane Douglas - this guy sucked at everything in life except a window where he came across as one of the most credible champions in wrestling in 96-97. He sucked exactly before he came to ecw, he sucked the moment he went to wcw.
  3. Dreamer
  4. Mikey Whipwreck
  5. RHYNO
  6. Raven
  7. New jack - he is legitimately untalented outside of the cheapest of heat and he is a complete psycho
  8. Sandman
  9. The Dudley boys - nobody else would've believed in these 5 clowns, and he made them something
  10. Brock - incredibly talented....natural...but his lack of mic skills in the second half of his career would've caught up with him...heyman as an advocate has breathed new life for sure.

He might have been in nWo Japan or Team 2000 as the token gaijin and gotten a job as an exec with The Entertainment in the mid-2000s. Maybe some burn as WCW champ as they died. Still a much better fate than Dreamer or Tazz without Heyman even if he isn't a worldwide phenomenon.

Tommy dreamer had no desirable traits besides he look of a baby face when he started
No legit wrestling skill comparable to mid card guys of the 90s like eddy malenko benoit etc
Wasn't even a hardcore original extreme guy like cactus jack or terry funk

He made him in to way more gen he was ever supposed to be. I wish so badly heyman got a hold of Sean ohaire after wcw had him he would have been Brock lesner on crack

Yeah, but imo

Dreamer went from an F- to a B-, franchise went from a D- to a B+, Taz went from a D+ to a legit A

I'll go a different route
Gabe Sapolsky

Heyman took this mark under his wing and was basically his apprentice

Fast forward after Ecw is gone, he's a founder of the most influential Indy fed in recent history,Ring of Honor, and the closest thing to ecw in spirit you will see, introducing more top talent and style to the wwe and tna than any other promotion in the world

JOE,Styles,Bryan,Punk,Aries,Daniels,Steen,Generico,Black to name a few that rose under his watch
