sounds like another myth trying to give Whites an inordinate amount of credit on racial matters (hell we have seen several studies saying many many Whites ramp up their prejudices against Blacks the darker and stronger your African features are)

When a people will claim that a woman who's in any shape but round has a body like a boy/man/teenager, you'll learn that they'll justify anything to shift blame, dodge self-accusation and coat insecurities.

I don't agree with the notion that white men prefer dark women more than black men, but I don't think that is what they mean.
The idea is...
A white man, who is actually willing to date a black woman, is least likely to play the colorism game.
For example, two black girls go to an all white school. One is dark skinned with braids, and the other is light skinned with slanty eyes and straight hair...
The white kids they go to school with will always always confuse the two girls for each other, even though they look nothing alike, and are two different skin tones.
This would never happen with black men. There is a huge difference between a dark skinned black girl and s light skinned black girl in the eyes of black men.
To white people, Black is BLACK!
We are ALL black to them, and we all look alike to a lot of them. (Even when we clearly don't)
To a white man, (again, a white men who is actually willing to date a black woman) black is black!
They don't put lighter skinned black women on a pedastal the way black men do. They don't treat light skinned and dark skinned black women differently the way black men do.
If the white man actually likes black women, The beauty is EQUAL.
Let's be honest, a lot of black men are not this way. They favor lighter skinned black women. They favor them openly and shamelessly. (The same way white men prefer blondes)
It starts early in childhood. They favor the lighter skinned black girls, and bully dark skinned black girls mercilessly. There are dark skinned girls who have to go to counseling for this, and experience severe social anxiety whenever they are around black men/boys for this reason. I have witnessed it. My BFF is a dark skinned black girl. She went through it! No one gets made fun of more by little black boys that dark girls and fat girls.
I'm brown skinned. I don't have a dog in this fight. I have no reason to lie about what I have seen. I think black men need to start taking SOME accountability for this.

Literally EVERY SINGLE woman in my family is a light skinned Redbone, I'm not even playing about that either. I got two 2 dark Aunts and my father's mother is dark and that's it. The rest of them are light skinned Redbones. And I'm going to tell you right now that's a crock of shyt you just typed. When I mean Redbone I mean a real Redbone like Amber Rose or Faith Evans light. Not those confused high brown chicks on social media repping #teamredbone . White men try to approach them all the time if they go outside without their rings.
White folks KNOW the difference trust me. My mom has the same skin color as an East Asian person so I had a front row seat to this all my life and honestly she faces virtually no discrimination. The difference in treatment that she receives compared to a typical dark skin black person is like night and day. I picked up on this at EARLY AGE. In Elementary school my teacher's would rave to me all the time "How beautiful" my mother was. So I was able to internalize what they would saying pretty easy. My cousins who had the dark Aunts would get the usual institutionalized racism. Teachers would throw them in special within the first two weeks of school and have a bad attitude with my aunts because they were dark skinned. They wouldn't reason with them and just give them bad scowls. A complete 180 from the treatment we received. So once again internalized this stuff early.
Society PERIOD favors the light skinned girls. This isn't a black men exclusivity thing. Get outta here with that. Maybe your BFF was just ugly? I know dark skin girls who were endlessly simped in my school days, but they were bad.
