STREETS/BLACKPEOPLE/TRUEFANS & THE MAINSTREAM WHILE MAINTAINING A QUALITY PRODUCT?....That is an extremely hard thing to achieve because artist normally sacrifice one to get more of the other...lets see
1.Nas-Lyrics...Beats...nuff said


2.Elzhi- Im still baffled at how good Elmatic was. Also that blue widow song is sick. Heard the new album is sounding serious from a producer friend out in the D, I know he is not mainstream per say, but i think doing that album put him in a new light. He has a new set of fans getting into his music.

3.Kendrick Lamar-From Section 80 to pretty much everything that has come out after has been flames. And he has a nice streak of killing dudes on the features.

4.Lupe-Im not sure about the street appeal part...but he made some good moves with his singles for the album. He seems to be getting good reactions from black people for still putting messages in his music.

5.I gotta think a little bit more for this one!

I would put Kanye right at that #6 spot, though he hasn't had a solo project in two years and Watch the throne was last summer, he has a hand in a lot of pockets and he's had a lot hot guest appearances. So I would put him right outside the top 5.

Peace. Besides summer on smash were did the album lack focus? I personally believe that Ross whole album had no focus at all, I still dont truly understand why the title is GFID, and there is not one song on the album to reflect what he means by that.

Interesting, Good look for that understanding. Honestly Ross is a ok rapper. Subject matter is non existent on this project for the most part, Beats, i like a few. i was pissed off with MM IV.....also i didnt like alot of the production. I was hoping the stuff he cooked up with Just Blaze was going to make the Album . To me Nas album sounds very cohesive, the title LIG is kind of like a sarcastic yet real statement. Sarcastic in the fact that his life has kind of been hell for the last 2 years but real in the fact that He is still standing. Production wise i feel like its much better then ross album, some of the beats are top notch. Reach out, Queens story and so on are just so much better. I liked Ross last album more. Ross album was just a bunch of songs with no real meaning, no real concept just rapping to be rapping for the most part. But i respect your opinion fam. Thanks for breaking it down for me and having something real to say about Ross album and not just flaming me lol.
