@ISO Your boy Hartenstein has been so underwhelming this season :martin:
He is very fundamentally sound but he can't jump over a bottle cap. Any team with competent bigs he gets outmatched. Against a team like this he had to play sims even if he gets bone head fouls you need to match them in size and strength.

Can someone please explain how these jokers blew a 17 point lead :gucci:

I got on the train, they were up 8, get off and the lost.
It was poor rotations imo. Thibs played Brunson and Randle the entire third quarter. By the end of it, they were tired and slow to close out or rotate. That helped Bucks' shooters get open and start to heat up. Then, in order to rest Brunson and Randle, Thibs had to rely on Evan Fournier and Isaiah Hartenstein for some extra time while they were both struggling. Hart came off fast for Mitch, but Fournier stayed out there way longer than he should have...which got exacerbated when Grimes waited at the scorers' table for almost 2 minutes because New York couldn't afford to burn a timeout and get him in.

The Bucks also made an in-game adjustment to go away from Giannis and let their shooters beat closeouts. It worked, but I'm not sure there's an obvious solution. If the Knicks left Giannis alone, he'd have done the damage himself instead. But it's worth debating whether New York should switch the scheme and limit three-pointers when they've got a double-digit lead to protect with dwindling time.

Thibs played Randle way too many minutes. This was a match up where Sims should've got the nod over I-Hart because he matches up way better. I'm at the point where Hart should be benched over Sims & it's damn obvious he should but for political reasons, he probably won't be

I just submitted my draft for the recap and I say something along the lines of "Hartenstein's struggles meant he only played 10 minutes...which begs the question, why not try Jericho Sims?" and I repeat the sentiment in my Thibodeau section. I think that's an adjustment worth visiting in time for the Knicks to find a taker for Hart. Hart's good but the scheme limits him on both ends.

You're 100% right. I thought Sims earned his spot on the roster & as Mitch's backup with his solid play last season. Bringing in Hart was something I didn't agree with from the jump because of what we've been seeing from him. He's better off playing under a different coach that could maximize his skill set

This is a great trade I just don’t know how we get the minutes for Josh Hart. Thibs loves IQ and Grimes.
Brunson-IQ
Grimes-Hart/IQ
RJ-Hart
Randle-Obi
Mitch-Obi-Sims

This would be your new 9 man. Gonna be REAL uncomfortable when we start seeing how much better the 5 man units of Brunson, Grimes, Hart, Randle and Mitch perform compared to the starting lineup.

Also, you’d ideally want Mitch to play around 32 minutes, Sims 10 and give Obi or Randle 6 minutes at the center position.
