I mean you hit the nail on the head. The only caveat that keeps me from saying it’s fake is injuries are part of the game. Grimes was out and opposing teams fans weren’t like “this isn’t the Knicks real defense”. You are your record until the playoffs.

And I agree with you on Cam not being the problem with those L's. Dubious has picked it up offensively & Grimes seems to have his legs again. You add in Deuce & the perimeter defense is way more tight. RJ has been abyssal defensively still

If Cam's enough to dump Fournier without taking long-term salary back, he's done his job. If we could get a protected first, then that'd be a nice dub but I'm not counting on it. Rumors have the Knicks' asking price at a second-round pick.
