I thought Quentin Grimes was supposed to be untouchable in trade talks, yet only gets burn in garbage time? Make it make sense

He’s coming off a injury from his patela so they trying to ease him back in.

Still yeah it’s stupid to just throw him there for garbage time.

Top 3 pick? ✅
Money man, $120M contract? ✅
Guy the fanbase is behind? ✅

Yes, no matter how bad he bums it up he gets handled with kiddie gloves. All type of excuses will come out he has the flu, he’s just going through a slump, he isn’t being used right, he always starts slow, he’s only 22, he’s a third option, it’s only a matter of time, it’s someone else’s fault (usually Thibs or Julius). During this offseason the majority of Knicks fans were adamantly against including Barrett in any trade for a star player. :russell:

Barrett and Ntilikina have/had an immunity with Knicks fans I haven’t seen with previous Knicks prospects. This guy is in his fourth season, our leading shot taker, and has a $120M extension kicking in.

Let’s stop with the excuses and the bullshyt disingenous talking points that people won’t be happy unless he’s Luka. :gucci:

Money Man? He'll have the 3rd highest salary on the team next season. Won't be the highest paid Knick for at least a couple years IF they dont bring in a star player. At this point it's just looking bad because he's played like pure shyt for the most part since last spring. The extension was 107M btw, 120 was based on incentives he probably won't hit.

Guy the fanbase is behind? Can do no wrong? Yea you gassin it lol. Majority of ppl i seen in here are pretty fed up with him trying to rebuild MSG every night.

And why does it matter so much what the "fans think" anyway. Those fans opinions held so much weight that the Knicks offered him up in trade proposals (at least) twice this past summer. Thats not how an organization treats a player they consider to be the "franchise" moving forward.
