RJ "FIBA Jordan" Barrett finished with 23 points in a victory over America. How fitting :wow:
It really puts into perspective the fact that Brunson needs a defensive center around him and a Grime/Quick level perimeter defender to switch off of. He can defend but you got to also hide his as well as possible. Hart is a good wing/forward defender but not elite at it.

I’m kind of hoping Charlie Brown’s defense makes him another option as a wing defender too.

Team USA's backcourt defense was food all FIBA for sure. Team USA rosters need to be constructed with more balance, though Desmond Bane probably would have made a big difference for 'em.

Back to the drawing board for USA basketball. After 2004 they made a change, but this time they don't have a Kobe walking through the door.

These guys forgot they are not playing by NBA rules, but FIBA rules which is more defensive. You can have bigs who can't defend and rebound on the floor. Mitchell Robinson would've been a better fit than JJJ, because he can at least fight for boards and cover the paint.

The season needs to start already, looking at how this thread been going :scust:
This summer has been pages and pages of @ISO talking shyt. RJ plays great and beats team USA and that motherfukker is ghost…. Again.

Desmond definitely need a invite. Maybe Grimes. Mikal should be brought back over Ingram, I hate to say it but Brunson probably is done with FIBA. I still think JJJ is the main reason they loss, but Jalen went out there and took responsibility in a press conference…. He needs some more media training on the low.

America needs a great US player to lead that team. Lebron ain’t immortal.

Mitch and Bam should be the Olympic centers. Maybe Ihart too…. That team is going to need some bodies for Embiid, Jokic, and Maybe even Giannis

Spot minutes at back up 4.
That might work if Hartenstein's able to hit the odd three-pointer. I saw him working on it in some clips this summer, but whether that'll translate is another question. I feel like Sims and McBride are basically being prepped so that we can package a bunch of players in a big trade, and then they'll be ready to slide into back-up roles.

Just to be clear, I do want to see Sims get opportunities, but I'm skeptical on it.
