but truth be told, he was never that good. not even in ring. he was a decent wrestler, horrible by high flyer standards, couldn't talk for shyt and had the shakiest shooting star press of all time..

i think we were just sold on his look brehs. something about wrestling in jean shorts and a wife beater seemed tight to 12 year old. plus they made him seem hella young so we related. but looking back, dude sucked

WOAT Shooting Star for sure, but I don't think it was the beater/jorts that had us sold. I remember him having dope matches on SmackDown and Velocity

Nah
He was never Rey or Juventud but he could work in the ring.
He had great matches in WCW & early on in his stint with WWE.
He definitely fell off towards the end of WCW but they had dude working Viagra On A Pole matches.
Morale was terrible at that point. I don't think anybody in the locker room cared anymore.

Damn, I miss WCW's cruiserweight division, though ......many things they didn't do right, but THAT shyt was one of the best parts of their legacy. Kidman was MUCH better in those days.

Crowd was on their feet from the time the bell rung.

God damn ......

Listen to the pop at 1:53.....this is just 20 seconds after the actual match starts......a match with just 2 cruiserweights; not even a main event......and you hear a loud, short pop from the crowd after a move

That shyt seems foreign to me as a wrestling fan now
