Funny b/c he was nowhere near as good as J White, but he beat him out to start.....til he got hurt, then White came in and never lost his job again.

Hybl used to take some serious hits tho. I'll give him that, he was tough as hell.

That would be an interesting stat....to find which players technically won National titles, even though they weren't active.
