I think not showing it is a sign that it was a main character. AMC probably felt they'd lose viewers if they revealed that they off'd an OG. Gay dude don't matter.

Rick is the central figure of the show. He dies the series is over.

This episode was about tearing down his confidence and arrogance. There's no point in doing all of that and then immediately killing him.

Negan clearly wants them to work for him and the only way he accomplishes that is getting Rick to submit to his power....in front of his people.

I've read the comics and know who dies in it I'm still not sure who it is as far as the tv series goes. I will say that it's not Rick though. His existence is the centerpiece of both the comic and this show.

The cliffhanger is really stupid though, I could see if this show had airtight information security but who dies will be leaked months before the 7th season, and I'm sure some dumbasses will come into this very thread and reveal it.

that really works best, if he's about to beat Rick to keep him from screaming or acting out. Again that threat really doesn't work for anyone else. If Sasha was about to get beat and Neegan said that it would not be as effective IMO.

I'm leaning towards Rick understanding it's a longer shot. The common death would be Daryl or Glenn

negan flat out told rick he wants him to work for him. owning rick ensures everybody else falls in line with his demands. he wanted to kill somebody to send a message TO rick....he even said it. you killed my people, now I have to kill one of yours. he wanted to show the leader(rick) who's runnin shyt now.

The problem is the reception has been really negative, just look on twitter, I know people will still tune in but this has backfired on them already.

Doing shyt like this can kill a show, especially if they don't have the balls to do what's necessary and kill a main character. You know they gonna milk this shyt too, first episode of season 7 will be a backstory on somebody nobody cares about, then they turn around and kill the homo who nobody gives a shyt about in the 2nd episode
