Carol got them skills from Rick during the time jump after they got run off the farm. She was still crying over Sophia and only thinking about trying to get a sympathy fukk from Daryl when Shane was alive.

I don't think so, he is alive in the comic. He never really came around there. You do realize that he is a coward that ate good while his congregation starved and were killed outside his door during the majority of the time the world went crazy. The only person who could forgive him is Morgan because he is insane.

This is why I keep telling people that unlike GOT, book spoilers on this show don't matter. Everything is different. I'm a reader from Day 1 and I have no idea what they are gonna do from week to week, or season to season...I can only guess like everyone else here. Literally over half the characters on the show now either don't exist in the books or got killed long time ago. The show is completely different.
