No he's correct. If Beyoncé or Nicki Minaj did this, they would be blasted by every single black women magazine ( Essence,Ebony) about hating their skin color. Bruh, this skin bleaching Shyt would get blasted by African American women ( See lil Kim, see Tiny Harris for changing her eyes).

For real though, everytime I see before and after pics of black people bleaching, they always looked better before.

But yeah this is for @Strawberry and your question. Really, this is the result of living in a white dominated society where whiteness and white people are plastered everywhere as the "standard" (of beauty, of humanity, default human, etc). Seeing images of white people in multi-faceted areas of life in mostly positive positions while seeing blacks in lesser than positions has a terrible effect on the black mind...and many black people succumb to this sadly in one way or another.

I don't know...I tried. It's a complex issue that can't be summed up in a whole blurb of text.
