The dollar store is the shyt. Has a lot of things in there. Some of the shyt is even brand name you see in the stores like Walmart. Dollar store not like how it was years ago.

Went to dollar store earlier and got some milk. Got up there and pulled out the debit card to slide it and this bytch behind the counter yells out 'EBT?!' I stopped and looked up and was like what? She then goes in a quieter voice, 'is it debit or ebt?' Debit bytch. Why would you just assume it was gonna be a foodstamp card? Didn't ask the neither woman in front of me that. These folks think they are slick brehs. That cism.

Doesn't that get you ever so slightly irritated? At this point, you can't even get truly pissed off, because it's not worth it. And imo, some whites are exactly how you just described. I got asked the same thing purchasing gum at CVS, but my situation ended up with the cashier apologizing because he thought it resembled an EBT card. This is never going to go away(so long as the system of white supremacy stays in place). Best thing we can do is take our money elsewhere..........this takes a toll on your soul.....sometimes I wish there were less whites in the world

I had something similar happen to me.

I was at the cafeteria and they have double sided line. So the cashier would alternate..... I had my card out ready to pay i heard her say "Sir we dont accept ebt" I figure shes talked to some other person in line im still sittin there with my hand out gesturing the card towards her, and then she says it again "Sir we dont accept ebt...it wont work"

I look at the chick like

this is my debit card. She still has a slight attitude and says "okay ill try it"

She swipes my shyt looking like the clerk who has had to swip the card for the 5th time for the person swearing they got money. It goes through and she examines it and says "Im sorry it looked like a ebt card. You ever seen one?"

I said "nah i havent "

So i go to the spot where you get napkins n shyt this lady walked up tobme and said "it do look like one though"

in my state the ebt cards are blue, and my debit card is completely red. no way you could mistake one for the other

I absolutely hate this. Makes me cringe ever time. A simple hello and have a great day is not hard. I'm sorry that you hate your job and all that but I'm certainly not the one to blame. I love my people but when this happens I call them out right there. Call me petty if you want I expect nothing less.
