This was just tasteless and sleazy, and nah I'm not offended by the violence either, for the most part, I am offended that someone would use THAT kind of violence to simply illicit ANY reaction from the viewer, Sutter thinks the audience being disgusted is comparable to feeling moved, tense, or any other emotion.

What do you imagine the writing sessions were like? 'Guys whatever happens...I want to be RAPED in the opening scene...that's happening.....lot of horrific school shootings lately....throw one of those in there"...and the fact that they give the fallout and the shooting about 25 seconds of screen time, adds to my point.

Besides these examples, the writing was uninspired, unbelievable, the plotting is beyond ludicrous....another corrupt cop....walking around with known gangbangers, madames, and bikers in a donut shop? The slow montage of Bobby fukking circling cities on a map, how long was his slow ass working on that? Any, or most of any genuine emotional moment/connection/entertainment this show may have had, is gone, the ends are no longer in any way worth the means...and the body dump....I fukking hope no one saw a dude in full leathers slide a dead body wrapped in cloth into the damn bay....in the middle of the afternoon

Lol that was funny, that is the thing that gets me the most, why don't the sons have a faceman or front man to set up meets? I mean every time they go out in full cut gang colors its beyond stupid., What guy would visit a high end massage spot with the sons walking around? Jax flashing a knife or gun at any moment would kill any legit business they have. Also how many corrupt cops are there? Is the whole force on the take that you can have broad day light shoot outs and no real cops come? Then it goes the prison and jail system also? What happened to the black sheriff? He got canned for being an honest cop i guess.

Also the torture porn guys was so dumb on so many levels, i like kink.com but Donna has limits with what she shoots, these guys burning talent and cutting them and leaving them in cages thinking this will fly? No booker would let his talent work for them, how would they even sell it? Guy sees 10 deep sons walk up strapped up and flashing, he decides to still let off and miss.

i agree, last nights episode was beyond disturbing. so far the only connection that kid had to the story was dave navarro and the fact it was one of the club's guns? that shyt was senseless and not needed. the show is almost too edgy for FX.

Disturbing...only in a sense of it's tastelessness and contrived emotion, i don't think it's daring, exciting, or brave to include a school shooting, that carries no real emotional weight to the show or the audience, it's bad, hackneyed, writing and plotting, and guilty of the worst kind of needless, transparent emotional manipulation, if the viewer is stupid enough to fall for it....it's insulting to us, I hope I don't have that conversation in real life, or here about the moral complexities and dilemmas of dave fukking navarro leaving a machine gun at his side bytches house...and how it may force the sons out the gun trade....I don't know HOW they sustain themselves at this point, Bobby living in a place not as nice as my very first apartment in the hood...drawing maps like Mac on 'Always Sunny'...Sutter is a hack of the worst kind, and this absolute, complete mess of what was once a B level drama, is embarrassing in just about all the ways it's able to...

havent watched that yet, I didn't say it was new though dex... People are gonna bytch about the show, I applaud Sutter for taking a touchy subject like this and putting it in the show though. There are way to many directors and producers that wouldn't have even allowed that idea in the writers room because of the potential backlash

You're praise is misplaced...this is the work of hack writer, and a delusional show runner, who has thrown everything but the kitchen sink at the audience, and his only success comes from those dull, or numb enough fall for it. It's beyond cheap and tacky, it's offensive, ugly, and perhaps most importantly....not good television, nor genuinely entertaining on any level, except for suburbanites living out a fantasy of machismo and male bonding.

I see where Re'up is coming from. Because the school shooting comes from out of nowhere. If they would've spent the season and focused on the KID, showed his neglect, how shytty his environment was, and built up to the school shooting I think that would've been more impactful and tactful. But, I do applaud Sutter for being brave enough to even broach the subject, as someone else pointed out, most would stay away from a storyline like that.

What's the difference in this happening on a show like decent heaven or degrassi or one tree hill?

I Agree this was a out of the blue unnecessary incident especially if it didn't kill a any one close to connected with the sons.

By season 6 of most shows its a lot of straw grasping because they never thought they'd make it this far. Now you have to create stories that are connected with previous plot lines and have some type of history.

So now you have to create people from the past who may have been involved in a story told in episode 4 season 3. I believe most shows should take the breaking bad approach and build towards and end which most shows don't do

I'm not defending or condemning those shows, I don't even watch them, honestly...off hand, if there is a slight difference to argue, it'd be I'm offended at the clear, sheer enjoyment Sutter gets from this perverse display of violence, not just shootings and killings, but multiple rapes and sexual violence....Like Sepinwall, said a long time ago about 'Sons', the answer is not in HOW to tell these convoluted, unbelievable and frankly, awful story lines....it's to tell different stories...

That's why I'm not mad at dude drowned in a pool full of piss. Dude pushed his fukking luck. Also, they were booking talent on the guise of doing some mild kinky shyt and did the torture/rape shyt when the girls arrived.
