People have to remember that even though the White population in SA is relatively small, during Apartheid they got a lot of the work done fighting ANC, SWAPO, Angola etc. by using predominately Black troops directed by White officers. Especially some groups that hated surrounding Bantu like the San or the Lozi, who are Bantu but were predisposed to SA for a few reasons including trying to get their own state in the Caprivi strip of Namibia, did a lot of the fighting.

Same deal throughout African history from slavery to West Indians being used by the Brits to suppress the Ashanti and others.

If you don't think they will not reprise this model with the turncoat Blacks or even Coloureds you don't know the full history.

It's always a mistake to project black American racial consciousness onto Africans.

One group I'd expect the white ZA to successfully exploit - the Zimbabwean immigrant population. They're universally despised by black South Africans (if you thought the bugs in District 9 were black South Africans, think again), and have experienced plenty of resentment-generating discrimination and maltreatment by black South Africans since they began arriving in real numbers during the Zimbabwean hyperinflation.

The deal would be citizenship and all attendant rights in exchange for Zimbabwean immigrants' assistance in the fight. South Africa's per-capita GDP is 5x that of Zimbabwe - this would make a pretty compelling offer for a Zimbabwean illegal who, if he left ZA for home, would face only poverty, unemployment, and misery. Also, one must have a plan once the dust settles. Too many African groups have tried this without a concrete strategy, and ended up worst off than when they started.

If you are going to expel groups of people that have mistreated you but control your economy and your military, you must prepare. Too many African leaders are so retaliatory there is no long term vision other than ''lets give these cacs that work''. Then what...

Whites are visionaries and have contingency plans on top of contingency plans and always work towards surpassing themselves. Of course, it is at others expense, but that is topic for another thread. As much as black people have experienced with whites, they have learned the least from any other group and are still struggling to get the basics down, without talking of efficiencies.

If black people want to lead the charge for change they are going to have to plan something for the long haul and prep themselves extensively to get their desired results. These ''rah rah'' speeches that Mugabe have done in the past and now that Malema is doing, sound nice in the immediate but isn't doing anything but prepping black people to run back with their tails between their legs if ish fails. Based on my limited knowledge of history and my interest in African geopolitics, it is likely to fail at the present time.

There is no shame in admitting that we are not prepared to take on something that has been centuries in the making. White people have never needed numbers to control or dominate populations. They have always had leverage.

Now that black South Africans, like many Black Westerners, have had a taste of white modernism, I am sure many do not have the fire that their predecessors had to take it where it needs to go.

Do I think that African people can successfully change the course of destinies, potentially...but they have yet to consistently prove that they can in the long haul.

Okay on a serious note, we have tonnes of battle hardened street gangs in Joburg and across SA. Then there are well trained militias all over Eastern DRC that camp and hunt in the bushes just as much if not more than cac right-wing youth. They now know how to plant their food on a subsistence level and what have you. There is Laurent Nkunda and his nasty M23 nikkas. There is FARDC, Maimai, Yakutumba and his bloody nikkas.
So if SA descends into a civil war there will definitely be volunteers. The biggest obstacle will be SA army and sanctions Malema will be hit with. That's where probably China and even maybe Russia's take on the matter might be key.
However I can't be on the front lines bcoz I got shyt to loose.



But I can help with organization and propaganda, I am good at that. Every movement needs both military and political wings for it to be truly successful.

I can see from the majority of the comments on here that most of you couldn't even point out South Africa on a map, much less have been here and have an understanding of the general sentiment. I don't like writing essays, so I'll be brief.

There's no civil war on the cards.

The large majority of people don't want any war, and there's a unanimous acknowledgment of the fact that right-wing Afrikaners are definitely more equipped for war than the urban Black population.

There's a reason why even the most radical party in the country has retracted some of their previous statements on the Boers.

African Americans like any black descendants should be concerned about what happens in Africa because the residual effects of that is felt by black populations worldwide.

Do you think if Africa was living to its potential that black Americans or any black groups would continue to get that work without impunity. No nation stands alone without allies, not even the US.
