I’ve been wearing Jordan’s since a kid and I remember 10-12 years ago, getting the latest Jordan’s (and Nike’s in general) used to be so painless. These hypebeasts moved on from Supras and shyt and made Nike (and pretty much every other sports brand) go down the route of limited releases.

Nowadays, you gotta basically have lottery winning luck on these raffles and apps if you don’t wanna pay above retail for anything

@LunaticVillage415 you so right...the sneaker game is so gentrified...its disgusting.

I used to get nike sb dunks flowed to me from skateshops for next to nothing back in the day and these kids are paying an arm and a leg for something they weren't around to experience.

I had massive sneaker collections for years...I skated so many...and got rid of everything. I have moments where i miss that...but I legit had dozens of sneakers just sitting in boxes worn a couple of times and it didn't make aense.

I’ve been seeing that word for years and I’m still not sure what it is

Kids who buy clothing items based on hype just to impress other hypebeasts. Supreme drops some North Face Jackets they line up for it just so they can be the few people who have it. Doesn't matter if they actually like the way it looks they have to have it because it's hyped/rare. If it's readily available and anyone can get it they're less likely to want it. If a sneaker is in every Foot Locker it doesn't matter. If it's only released in NY, LA, and Tokyo they gotta have it.
