It's not worth it honestly. This is why I stopped trying to explain racism to white people or argue with racists on the internet. You can use all of the facts, logic, sound reasoning, statistics, and research possible, you're never going to change the way they think, and their deep hatred/resentment/discomfort of melinated people will supercede anything. They have to want to change their ways...most don't. That's why most white people as I get older come off as just sad lost causes to me anymore. I can't even get angry at their racism and insecurities anymore, I just think it's pitiful. I think they're obsession with us is kind of sad honestly. They know their race ain't shyt, but as long as they can enjoy life they way they can, they will not change anything and submit to the status quo even if it fukks with our livelihood in the process.

You can really only do you, stack paper, and set yourself up for the future. When it comes down to it, the real nikkas in the world are gonna be outnumbered by the sellouts, zombies, and fakes.

Well in our community is just don't work like dat.

My hypothetical says....that if a White Woman went to Howard, "praised" BM, exclusively stated that she went there because she's more "comfortable" around blacks, preferred to date Black Men and thought that they weren't "appreciated" enough and therefore set out to start a business on that "appreciation" thereby leading her to get positive responses from BM in large numbers and tons of attention for it...we would never hear the end of it from sistren at Howard.

There would be all kinds of protests, discussion groups about colorism, and "brainwashing", future black female directors and writers would write poems and movies about the issue years from now on campus, there would be a slew of books analyzing the black male mind and what we can do to "change" it. And years ago, it would have been the topic of discussion on every black female talk show with "footage" for the audience.

We'd ALL be brought to a court room like Saddam and asked to answer for our War Crimes lol

I'm telling you...when it's the reverse...there's a complete double standard and the consequences are for BM.


If you were a BM who did that for WW...your career would just about be over...BW would boycott it and shut it down...and WM would "systemically" make sure it never got off the ground.

Dang I'm late to this thread. But I feel this is true what @Neva_Die_Alone wrote. Black women would feel like this was an attack against us if this was reversed. I'm offended because I don't want nor need a white boy to uplift black women. I didn't read the whole thread but I can imagine this making a lot of black men upset or at least uncomfortable. This white boy stepped out of line. We don't need his validation. But unfortunately today a lot of insecure sistas want it badly because they have internalized the lies that we are not beautiful, ironically white men are the ones who created and perpetuated this lie, which makes it hard for me to understand sistas who are (mistakenly) empowered when a white boy "recognizes" our beauty. Our black brothas do it daily.

Well my new philosophy is not to come down on our people who suffer from the "needing acceptance from whites syndrome" for a self esteem boost. Sistas should feel beautiful already. Black people get out of this hollywood t.v. fantasy world. Because there is where we are becoming disillusioned and losing ourselves.
