was he right for it? here are some comments
Ouch... Personally, I don't think he meant it in a derogatory way. The real issue is the common use of this word in the states. It's almost a nothing word now. I see blacks, Latinos and whites use it like its nothing. The issue is context.. We don't tend to use that word here in The UK... But telling Americans to stop using it, is almost akin to telling Americans to give up guns....
White Guy calls a Big Black Guy named James a #nikka and it didn't end too well for Bart smh.
My opinion, us black people use the word "nikka" not #******, but nikka so much in our music, Our everyday cool conversations with the homies, Most #WhitePeople especially the Kids tend to just say it like we do (Around each other though & I don't think they mean harm lol)
So when we or them talk tough as you see in the situation, we tend to use the word nikka. Unfortunately I think Ol Bart wasn't thinking too clearly. SMH
What y'all think? You think he meant it as #racism or just tough talk and James was just being too sensitive this #BlackHistory Month?
thoughts?
