I actually agree,but not for the reasons the pale fakkit stated.
Howard needs to realize they fukked up and have been assimilated. 150 years in,some of the most brilliant black minds ever,and no one was able to forsee this happening? Time to just realize you have been assimilated,pack it up,start over in a black community and work with the local people/government to make sure it stays that way. Black people are so ashamed to admit when we have been assimilated,take the L move on. You can't fight assimilation once assimilation has already taken hold of you. You have to get completely away from it and regroup. If you don't move this school the students inside of it will end up assimilated either way,majority of them I'm guessing already have been. Too many cac surroundings will only make things worst.

This is EXACTLY why when I was in Shaw a few weeks ago I told EVERY SINGLE white person that I passed to stop gentrifying our neighborhoods. Ion know breh. The areas around AUC and Howard ain’t the same tho. And the layout and dynamics of the 2 cities as a whole are totally different. DC is way more dense, more expensive and Howard itself is way closer to nicer areas than the AUC is. Aint no DuPont Circle type area in walking distance from the AUC. shyt it aint even anything like U St anywhere near the AUC. MLK couldn’t get there, they’d have to Zone it differently, as it stands now you can’t build commercial west of Washington Park. And even then where would it go? Hoods like Mozley Park is damn near suburban in layout. They’d have to bulldoze blocks and blocks of SFH’s for that street to even attempt to resemble what U St is. Cacs want urban shyt with grid street layouts and little coffee shops on the corner. That area to the west of the AUC doesn’t lend itself to that just off how it’s built. And south of the AUC with West End Mall and RDA from Murphy Ave to where Cascade starts might get there one day, but it’s not there right now. And honestly I’d say it’ll be 15-20 years before it’s on that level with commercial stuff and not as blighted. East of the AUC is downtown, which could make that turn but they’ve been screaming about gentrifying downtown for over a decade now, and it’s still the same. Benz been open for a few years now, but I don’t see shyt else they was talking bout building, actually being built. Not buying that Gulch hype. Long as Five Points is down there it’s gonna be ratchet. That’s why ain’t no developer from Atlanta touched it. It’s always some overseas company talking about it that has money but isn’t familiar with ATL or the dynamics of it.

The area around HU in NW DC ain’t no cake walk, but it’s not the roughest area in DC. That part of NW ATL that the AUC is in is right by some of the roughest areas in Atlanta. Which is also why it’ll be hard for Cacs to do that in the AUC. Spelman already been closed off, can’t just walk up thru there like that. And CAU another random shooting away from being totally closed off as well. Morehouse is Morehouse, but who wants to walk thru that Freakshow? Well the homo white dude in OP might, but your average citizen not trying to deal with that foolishness.
