White Cop Arrested for Raping Black Women

There's plenty to be done. The unifying theme in these rape/sexual assault cases, is that black women (and women in general) feel powerless. They feel that others (men and women) will think they're lying. When black women in particular are portrayed as aggressive or hoes/thots/ratchet/bedwenches - and we as men continue to conflate being "less valuable" as justification for abuse, we give their aggressors more power.

How exactly to change this trend? I don't know. When calling women thots and such becomes neg-worthy - both here and irl - maybe things will change.

What I'm saying is that instead of stopping at one woman, it got up to 6 because of the stigma surrounding rape victims - that they're "crying wolf" or somehow deserving abusive treatment.

The 27-year-old officer attacked the seven women, between the ages of 34 and 58, over a period of months, police said. He allegedly raped one woman, forced three to perform oral sex and fondled and exposed the others, the Oklahoman reported.
Holtzclaw, a three-year veteran of the force, stopped his victims while on his patrol shift, between 4 p.m. and 2 a.m., police said. Sometimes, he attacked at the scene of routine traffic stops. Other times, he led his victims away to remote spots before assaulting them.

The accused officer threatened to arrest his victims if they did not comply, Oklahoma City Police Chief Bill Citty said at a Thursday press conference.
The first victim to come forward was a 57-year-old grandmother who claimed Holtzclaw forced her to perform oral sex in June.
"She was really, really fragile," Alitia Timmons, the woman's representative, told KOCO. "She was scared to leave her house, when she was driving and she saw a police officer drive by, it would terrorize her and she has been piecing herself together."

The suspect is former Eastern Michigan linebacker Daniel Holtzclaw -- who dominated at EMU from 2005 to 2008 and later got a tryout with the Detroit Lions ... though he never made the squad.

"He was one of our captains. Guys looked to him for leadership.

Holtzclaw is still in custody on a $5 million bond. Lang says the whole situation is sad in every possible way.

"I'm praying for him ... but more importantly I'm praying for the victims."
