Anyone notice they have a sort of generic, trashier, watered down look compared to Europeans? Can’t put my finger on it but I can always tell the difference.

The American white is all mixed up with black and Native American. So it’s easier to tell ‘em apart from their folks in Europe.

Nah. Most white Americans are solely of European stock.

Lest we forget, miscegenation was illegal for most of America's history, so there wasn’t much mixing (unlike the Latin American colonies) and when it did happen, it was taboo and the offspring were considered a part of the ethnic minority group rather than the white European(one drop rule.)

Like other posters said, only the poorest of the poor cacs was fleeing to America and criminals escaping justice in Europe.

Puts things in this country in perspective when you think about it. all these cacs great great great great granddaddies was criminals, poor as fukk, and of low genetic stock compared to other euros then they came over here trying to rebrand.

You're thinking of the waves of white immigrants from Ireland, Italy, and Eastern Europe. Basically the Mexicans of their time. Alot of Germans too but they are never depicted as desperate and destitute as the other groups.

Most of the original colonists were religious refugees, average British colonizers and semi wealthy men trying to establish an upper class they were excluded from for some reason or another. These were the original WASPS.

I mean America in its history did not attract the best and brightest of Europe. Alot.of them were backwater feudal peasants that came here and found it easier to rise up socioeconomically
