That excuse doesn't necessarily work in this particular instance because of the shytty moves the GM has made over the years. They were throwing away 2nd round picks that could have been used for youth on dudes like Crowder. Not to mention how poor at drafting they've been over the years.

They don't even have any youth in waiting for their aging vets.The only pick they've really hit during Giannis tenure was Brogdon and he was a 2nd round pick with a medical red flag before the current GM got there.
