Somebody should tell dude Kool Herc ain't Rican

James Brown sees you.

You better be glad JB is gone, because if he was here right now he would beat your ass for not knowing that he invented Hip Hop. Y'all keep bringing up Herc, but he didn't come around until the 70's. James Brown was doing Hip Hop back in the 60's and 70's. People have been copying his shyt for so long that y'all dudes don't even realize that James Brown invented that shyt.

It is just like Moonwalking. People think that it came around in the 80's and that breakdancers and Michael Jackson had something to do with it. However, it was actually tap dancers like Bill Bailey that created that shyt back in the 50's.

I always wondered why Puerto RICO, DR and I think Cuba never involved themselves in the west indian day parade but rather have their own shyt.

Anyway @newworldafro I think the commentator's statement eluded to the Latin fraternity being the Latin parallel to the Alphas. In any sense of what he was trying to say basically gave further insight to Latino culture vulturism (dikk riding)

Another one of these threads where we pretend there were no Puerto Rican’s involved in the development of hip hop. Nise

other than Charlie Chase I can't recall any other Puerto Ricans involved in the creation of hip hop during its inception in the 70s

Throw out Pun, Fat Joe, and wack ass Beatnuts.... Make your point..... And..... GO
Don’t forget to disqualify Charlie Chase, like 30% of UZN, the majority of the MPC & the majority population of the South Bronx.

There's a difference between saying THIS, and saying hip hop wouldn't exist without PRs. I mean what kinda dumb shyt is that?
