People think them foreigners with the fly whips and clothes on college campuses are really there to get the same education as you. Some of those students are actual spies.

Seeing as English is the closest thing that we have to a worldwide language ( lingua franca, ) and American media itself is prevalent worldwide, this really isn't that much of a surprise.

English is also one of the easiest languages to learn.
