Yea, I mean I know it was part of the story and he got set up big time. I kinda admire the gut it took to throw Snake to the bushes after he got so popular.

On a personal tip tho I played MGS2 before the original because I wasn't really fukking with the PS1 when it came out. I start up MGS2 and it asks if I've played the first one before and like a sucker I say no
