Lets not go that far. The spinner belt should have never lasted as long as it did (I know they made a non-spinner version later, but it still sucked). That belt should have lasted the same amount of the Smokin Skull or Brahma Bull, but instead that shyt lasted 8 years

it should have easily changed aesthetic.
yet they really made that belt into cena's title.
at first I got the title change to this cosmetic look.
yet when it did not really continue.
plus aesthetically, they never added anything to it.
when effectively it was tons of suggestions etc.
that by the time the universal title color was proposed and actually used. It became obvious this company was inept.

Don’t get me wrong it was hideous, but at least it had a nameplate and some design to it at least. The current ones are literally just the company logo in the middle and plates on the side holding the champion’s logo. shyt doesn’t even actually have its own side plates. At least a little thought went into that belt. These belts look like something :flabbyvince: whipped up in 5-10 minutes tops and the rest of management just basically hit the ”Lets not go that far. why not?” and then made the belts after that. Making them even uglier is how it’s pointed at the bottom and flat on the top. At least that one had the same uniform shape.

Whichever title Raw has will always get the bigger names, hype, and treatment, but the "real" title to me will always be the WWE title. That's the one with a legacy.
Win the WWE title and you're in the same category with Hogan, Rock, Flair, Austin, Savage, Hart, Sammartino, Warrior, Michaels, Angle, etc.
Win the Universal title and you stand shoulder to shoulder with Balor, Owens, and Rollins.

The Universal Title has less pedigree than the b*stard offspring of a stray mutt.
Lineage is everything to a title. The universal belt isn't even worth as much as the IC right now. Eventually all these reigns will be effectively forgotten.

It should be the WWE Title, but the Raw title is always treated like the main title.
Wrestlemania should end with AJ/Nakamura, Royal Rumble winner challenging for the WWE Title in the best match of the night with 2 of the most over talent. But I doubt it will actually happen, they really struggle with match order sometimes and show length makes it even harder.

They've made it the Universal title and the WWE title is like the IC belt in the 80s and 90s now
The Universal title is the top championship on the flagship show. It wins by default.
That said, the WWE title will always mean the most in that company because no matter what has happened, it's the only title that has never been killed in the history of the organization.
And keeping it 100, Miz's work as IC champion has really brought up the prestige of that title.
