Fell off? Foles had a hot run. He wasn't some great QB that lost it. Stafford always been a look the part all star going back to high school. Just happened to get on an all star squad capable of overcoming his backbreaking picks.

Flacco regressed in 2011 from his 2010, was inconsistent to put it lightly in 2012, was awful in 2013 (to be fair his receivers were damn near worst in the league and the offensive line was the worst since the merger in run blocking while giving up close to 50 sacks). Then he started to regain his form in 2014 but ended the year by throwing horrible picks off his back foot into double coverage with plenty of time left while standing in a clean pocket on back to back drives with the ravens down by 1 score. He was horrid in 2015 before he got hurt and then he was just bad in 2016, 2017, and 2018 before they finally pulled the plug in favor of Lamar.
Still I think if he got a decent head coach and OC to open his career he’d have progressed properly.

Stafford was always way more physically talented than Foles. Foles went on one of those storybook runs in the playoffs 
but otherwise he was kind of a mid qb. One good year in the league and one amazing playoff run. Lighting in a bottle.
Stafford is still around because his arm talent is one of the best arm talents over last couple of decades. There was one throw today to Nacua into tight coverage like 40 yards downfield in the air that he just casually uncorked, and it was perfect. If his arm was shot, he wouldnt be around. We've seen him play with a weaker arm and he becomes nearly useless.

I won’t shade Megatron, he was that dude. But Matthew Stafford has one of the best arms in NFL history. Its laughable to argue this point.
