Which story arc followed Marvel's Civil War?

Good question...I always wondered how they do this do they Retell stories and time do they continue arcs from the beginning I know they have alternate universes with the ultimate series...it just gets confusing
Avengers vs X-Men. Not a fan at all. They need to do more with Spidey. Spider-Island last year was probably my favorite event....of all time.
Why are the avengers and xmen beefing? Does it still have to do with the secret identity laws...I know the xmen remained neutral not picking a side

Nah. Started off because the Phoenix force was supposed to be coming back and going to Hope Summers. Scott thinks its what mutants need and she could be used as a force of good if they train her into being able to control it. I think she was sparring with Scott and she had a flare up of Phoenix powers since it was getting close to earth or some shyt. Avengers detected the flare up, and went to Utopia to bring her into custody to try and protect her from it or whatever. Cap touches down and pretty much demands that Scott gives her up

The ending was subpar for most people.
What I WILL say is that from Civil War to Secret Invasion to Dark Reign to Seige all the way to Avengers vs. X-Men going on right now, all the MAIN stories never really went into as much depth as I would have liked but most of the monthly books (epsecially Brubaker's Captain America and Cable/Deadpool for Civil War) gave a LOT of insight as to why things happened the way they did.
I can summarize the last 10 years of Marvel if you really want me too. I just don't want to spoil everything if you have plans to read it all
