Halo because halo has the type of universe that can rival Star Wars. Also halo infinite is shaping up to be one of the best games ever made period. The numbers it’ll do when it’s all said and done will be huge and that popularity will carry over to the TV series ASSUMING THE SHOW IS ACTUALLY GOOD. If it is, it’s too easy to win. The last of us doesn’t have that level of cache, the universe isn’t something that fits a series imo anyway. I would think more so a movie? TBC

the universe of TLOU is the exact kind of universe that fits a big budget tv show

they have a budget 5 times the size of AMC/ The walking dead, and that was the biggest thing on tv outside of GOT in its golden years (5 years ago, seasons 3-6)

that show fell off a few years ago but still has a big following even now 11 seasons in, even with some of the most god awful writing and boring characters you’ve ever seen…TLOU looks like it has an avenger tier team up of writers, musicians, directors and actors putting the show together, it’s going to be huge

TLOU has a budget of 10 million dollars per episode

Game of thrones has a similar budget for their last couple of seasons including 3 dragons, Giants, an army of the dead and a thousand other extras, they’ll be fine

Halo's story is an incomprehensible mess while TLOU is fairly derivative and safe so on that alone it'll translate better. Plus as others have mentioned HBO vs Parmount + lol.
