Which road would you take?

i know that not everything falls neatly into 2 categories

but, generally speaking, if you were gay would you work the system like an average citizen or would you live an actual faq lifestyle?

not talking about the shaggin but more about your path through life. not equating the struggles, but as black folks, we have seen (probably firsthand) the people that go to college and live the white collar life and the brothas that stay in the street, all for better or worse.

if you were a fart knocker, would you enter the wonderful world of diversity that is any office job and try to deal with breeders or would you stick with your own people and only do stereotypical shyt (eg restaurants/bars, fashion shows, drag, famous rapper)?

It comes down to...

(1) how much and how long can you pretend before it starts to affect your psychological and physical health...?

(2) Which path has a higher probability of helping you make more money...? If you are going to make more money being gay, then you should be gay...If it is going to limit you, then you should pretend...

That's all...The only two factors to consider when making personal decisions are your health and wealth...If you benefit in both areas, then you are making the right decisions...

But ultimately nothing is right or wrong, better or worse...The Universe doesn't give a fcuk...You will die any ways, and whatever you did, will not mean shytt in the grand scheme of existence, and in the infinity of time...

i'm not saying it to conjure up that image, friend. i'm saying (though it may be impossible) to take the sodomy out of it and look at the culture on a philosophical and completely hypothetical level.

looking at the culture, which road would you take? would you try to assimilate and be well adjusted or would you stick with other like yourself? sorry for the confusion.

and though it may not concern you, i will simply say that not all gay people engage in that act. there are men that love each other very deeply without ever knowing each other biblically . and i'll leave it at that for everyone's sake.

so am i safe in inferring that if you were (not accusing you, i'm sure you understand this is hypothetical) afflicted with this particular curse, that you would do your best to live what our predominantly christian society deems a normal life? even if that meant living your entire life in what felt like a lie for the sake of salvation?

homosexuality is not considered a mental disorder anymore but that POV in interesting to take since most people take the religious route for not approving of same sex attractions. you're solution isn't bad either.

let's not make this personal, please. i'm tired of my threads being sent to the bushes and i think it's because i make it personal. it's just a simple question.

Its the best road to take. I mean i love sugar but after i got a few cavities, despite my love for Frosted Flakes with 5 big spoonfuls of sugar, i had to switch to the Cheerios. Lets not allow demonic indulgences keep us from doing whats right. Phrases like living a lie are just Hollywood rubbish and arent that serious. There are people that fight the urge to kill and rape, so should we just encourage everyone to just act on demonic impulses. No, lets look at the gays the same way and understand that its probably hard for them to avoid wanting to be sodomized but perhaps if thats their bag, they should find a wife to do that for them.

I'm very religious... BUT I don't apply it do anything but charity work and my personal life.

However, the mental disorder is something I feel will gain them their rights faster. It's not something that we are physically suited for... and not something that most of the billions of people on Earth accept....... so if they don't want people claiming society makes them that way - what other alternative is there besides saying that it's a mental abnormality?.

semantics are a bytch, aren't they? abnormal has it's connotations but you are absolutely correct. their (including myself, as to avoid confusion) minds are working differently than most of humanity. i suppose when i hear disorder, i associate that with disease, which i don't believe is the case here. you are, of course, entitled to your opinion. would it be easier for humanity to accept if we were left to our own devices or should we continue to try to be "one of you"?pardon me please, if that sounds rude. that's not my intention. should gays try so hard to have the same institutions and rights straight people have? or...should they be working even harder to have their own types of businesses? i say business because that is where the basis of a society lies in the US and most places abroad.
