That "you would've cost him 300 dollars back in the day" shyt is disgusting (and stupid since she is the product of an interracial marriage). But that's kind of what happens you pretend to be "color blind" and not see color.
I have to address this. My Mom raised me to be color blind. My family mostly have light brown hair, green eyes. I may have light skin, but I was the 'black sheep'. She may not have been the best mother, but I got value and comfort from that.

My neighborhood had very few black people. My graduating class was probably 90% hispanic, 10% "other".

I'm just learning this 'white privilege' and 'color blind' thing. I really am color blind, no pretending. Call me naive. I don't know how else to be.

I talk to my bf about it all, and he's opening my eyes more.

Neg me into oblivion if you like, but I am proud of the way I see the world. I have hope. I hate discrimination of any kind.

please don't bring biracial kids into the world being "color blind". i hate people with that mentality that have mixed kids they dont properly prepare them for the real world. racism will never end period.

I like you. I really do. Out of all the "other" women on here, you seem to be less ridiculous, but this probably should have been kept to yourself lol

And I greatly dislike people like you that feel a certain way about a certain half about your race. You've made it clear that you hate your black side.

I am preparing myself, don't worry. My man will handle his part, I will mine.
