They were on the same platform for years and Andrade had a belt... nothing came off of it
Canelo literally said Andrade's style is boring so he doesn't want to fight him. I didn't hear him shying away from anyone else like that. Calling the other boring as a reason not to fight him is a known narrative, mostly used in case of high risk low reward spoilers, slicksters, etc.
I understood Canelo being annoyed when Andrade crashed his post fight interview but even then you could see he wants nothing with him. Called him a horrible fighter and told him he'll never fight him. How's Andrade a horrible fighter but he fought the likes of Fielding?
Now this doesn't mean that Andrade would beat Canelo too, Canelo would probably be a sizeable favorite but it's clear that among all the interesting fights he can take from 160 to 175 this is the one he fancies the least. I like both fighters btw but I think it's clear as day Canelo doesn't want anything from Andrade. Regardless of what yall thinkof Andrade's resume, ability and his chances agianst Canelo it seems like he's the opponent he's the most wary of.
Andrade is in a similar situation as Haney at 135. Many complaining about his style, many are skeptical about his ability and shyt on his resume (well Haney just scored a very good win vs Linares but otherwise true) yet it seems like the other top guys in these divisions want nothing of these two. Haney is more fortunate though as he himself got some social media pull too unlike Andrade and he's still at the beginning of his career, got plenty of time to make those fights, unlike Andrade.
