^^ yeah MP Da Last Don wasn't anything special, a few good cuts, no real standouts, tons of recycled material, a letdown after landmark albums Ghetto D, Tru 2 Da Game, CI2DG and Life Or Death and even the soundtracks (which were both amazing)

Best NL album 95: Tre-8 Ghetto Stories (runner-up MP - 99 Ways To Die)

96: Silkk- The Shocker (MP - Ice Cream Man)

97: TRU - Tru 2 Da Game (Bout It OST)

98: C-Murder - Life Or Death (Fiend - TOIEF)

99: Mac - World War 3 (Fiend - Street Life)

00: C-Murder - Trapped In Crime (Snoop - Last Meal)

Everyone here seems to have their own opinion & ranking here, although some albums seem to be universally acclaimed here :salute:
But lets talk a specific album: Anyone here listened to that Gambino family album ? That joint with snoop randomly came on on shuffle recently so I may peep their album...

Ghetto Organized had some hard beats, faves are Trapped In A Storm (with C and Mia), Desperados and Clean Sweep

It's better than Prime Suspects and Steady Mobb'n that also dropped in late 98

Gets alot of love for good reason

Besides the 3 you named Father's Day, We Deadly, Genocide, Paradise (with Samm and Popeye), Just Another Thug (with C) and Lockdown RMX are top notch. Love this album, gets some spins once a month

Yeah, I never got that either. I mean, the album is cool to me, but it's not nearly as good as 'Shell Shocked' is. Not even close. That album is just fantastic, though I may be a bit biased as Mac is my favorite NL rapper.

As far as my favorite NL album, it's kind of hard to pick. When they were good, they were GOOD, but when they were bad, they were BAD. 'Ice Cream Man' & 'Ghetto D', 'True' & 'Tru 2 Da Game', Shell 'Shocked' are all in the running. One that I don't think I've seen mentioned, and wasn't included in the OP that I've always liked is Steady Mobb'n - 'Pre-Mediated Drama'. That, along with Young Bleed's first album will always have a place on any of my NL lists.

The best No Limit records were the ones Percy released when he was in Richmond, Cali and before he moved back to NOLA and became SUPA SOUTHERN THUG with it. The west coast records had way better production than that Beats by the Pound shyt. The Tru "True" album as someone here already mentioned, The West Coast Bad Boyz Vol. 1 and the ORIGINAL Ghetto Trying to Kill Me are all classics.
