as far as hype, excitement and difficulty in getting tickets, MJ and Kobe are #1 and 2. Below them you got AI, Curry and to a lesser extent LeBron.

some dudes had a short period where they got some hype like Vince,T-Mac and Penny, but the dudes I mentioned been helping the league eat by getting sell outs in places where ppl don't attend games as much.

Prime AI in Atlanta was a fukking zoo. Traffic downtown would be at a standstill if he was in town.

Kobe post-Shaq was also at the top but that's a given. I went to this game and it was just as ridiculous as it sounded. You knew you were going to see something stupid no matter how good or bad his injuries/shooting/team/etc were.

His jumper was so smooth, hit the net like

Not the best player, not the one with the best stats, not the best winner...but the ones who got the fans the most excited (home and away), the ones who had/have fans going crazy over their routine level of play.

It may just because I'm old, but I don't feel the energy through the TV for Warriors games. And it's definitely not to the extent of the energy for the list from OP. For most of their Finals games, maybe, but not every regular season game. I think it may also be due to the fact they never really had a rivalry with any team to enhance that experience.
