I finally got around to watching these epic films and can't believe it took me this long. I am torn on which of the two I found to be more brilliant, what do you guys think?

that second one never should've came out, shyt was trash and if it was one whole movie, that movie would've been trash, I see why the studio wanted it separated

The first part still leaves me 
EVERY SINGLE TIME I WATCH IT.
It was like someone took all my favorite genres and put it into one flick. The 2nd part could have been sooooooo much better. But I accept it for what it was.

Vol. 2 definitely drops off in quality compared to the first part, but is still a good movie and has plenty of dope scenes.
I like them both for different reasons and it's hard to compare because they're both two different films. I'd say vol 1 is the better complete product but the dialogue in vol 2 is so dope
the studio wanted him to edit it as one film ie like what they did to the baby cart series which became shogun's assassin, also connected/referenced in kill bill..QT said fukk no!

Vol. 1...these were the start of quentins transformation from crime flicks to all out crazyness. i prefer his 90s stuff.

I remember the lonely grave of Paula Schultz but were there any other nods to other Tarantino movies?
I've heard the theory that Kill Bill is supposed to be the film adaptation of Mia Wallace's Fox Force Five, but couldn't think of any other connections.
I was intrigued by his idea to do the movie of Vernita Green's daughter going after Beatrix Kiddo too.
