Which is the best SimCity game?

I think Sim City 4 is the best.....do they still have an active mod community for that? I was thinking bout playing again i just need to find my disks.

I used to play 2000 back in like 6th grade. shyt was piff. I just got to thinking about it recently actually copped simcity 4 for like $5 on amazon. Interesting that this thread pops up a few months later.

Those mods are where it's at though.

SC2000.

Best (most intuitive / best balance) interface.
Best music.

Best progression of technology.

Game was a masterpiece.

You must not have played 4. 2000 was a classic no doubt but 4 is just on another level. Even the music is better believe it or not.

Damn, that sucks. I wonder what the new one is gonna be like.

I've built slums on there. I use to make a pollution city that would have a really big power plant (probably from a mod) that would power my entire region. That way I could have my big city clean....I would also have all my dirty industry in that slum city.

If you wanna build slums just raise the taxes for the rich and medium class really high and drop the taxes for the poor down to zero.

I play 4 about once every other year. Even have the soundtrack on my iPod (Floating Population has the baddest fiddle or violin I've ever heard). Great game no doubt. Could just be nostalgia, but I put SC2k just slightly above it, imo.
