I thought Jay Rock was gonna blow in like 07/08.

In the inverse (sort of) case, I heard of French Montana back in like 06/07 and thought he was :trash: and would never get off the mixtape circuit but he kept working hard and now the hottest artist in NY. One of my fav rappers too right now.

i was riding wit bleek and thought he would come through at least a couple plat albums or at least hood classics but dissappointed completely and always remember my favorite line from him "for 1 i packs 3 nines like the year" i was hyped of that line

Nature also and he was actually really nice

Ok top 5 hottest. You can't deny it, look at the amount of downloads for Mac & Cheese 3. A$AP is equal. Jay and 50 probably sell more but they are more mainstream, French got the streets/clubs on lock(out of current NY artists). :salute: to Nas too

:bryan::bryan: cemented himself sure he has hits. but what i said about that lil rob dude applies to trick he has fallen off and into obscurity...i dont give a damn if he had hit. "Cuz Im A Thug" "Thug holiday" etc. better yet where is trick latest mixtape?

Look at all the names being mentioned and their career's...and look at Trick's....stop playing yourself...nevermind...do you

Lot of good guesses:
Cru
Spooks
Adam F as a Hip-Hop producer (That Khaos album was dope)
Megahertz as a Hip-Hop producer
Canibus
Papoose
Saigon
Jae Millz
Kid Daytona (I wouldnt call him a flop but given the peers he came up with I thought he would be bigger)
Freddie Gibbs (same as above. It might not be too late)
Queenpen
Pras as a solo artist (didnt like him but I thought he would have a successful solo career like the other 2 off of Ghetto Superstar)
