I never watched an episode of nitro :francis:

My dad was a wwf nikka till death.. had me watching Marc mero matches whilst wcw had this crazy roster.

Only reason I even knew what wcw was, was when my friend got a wcw ps1 game and I was like wtf who are these nikkas and why is Brett hart on this game :mjlol:

I prolly missed out on a fair bit.. thanks dad, stuck with all them shytty pre attitude gimmicks and storylines :russ:

1995: Draw, both were companies were giving us shytty products at the time and Nitro didn't debut until September.

1996: WCW by a huge margin, NWO was running shyt at this time

1997: WCW, they started the year strong and finished strong and they were dominating the ratings war, but WWF was vastly improved from the start of the year and was on that ass.

1998: WWF wins, WCW was neck and neck with them to start the year then began to fade and by the end of the year RAW was clearly the better show.

1999-2001: All WWF, complete domination

WWF main events had better payoffs than wcw. They understood how to wrap up a storyline.

You at least knew somebody was gonna win via pinball even it's by the help of interference.

Once the hardy boyz & dudleyz amped up the tag division & the rock really became the guy is when wcw took a definitive 2nd place.

Nwo/Wolfpac was too good to miss & once they disband & everyone went their separate way is when everything else got exposed.

I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
For me:

1995: WWF (although let's be honest, neither product was worth a damn)
1996: WCW
1997: WCW and WWF
1998: WWF and WCW (WCW still has moments of brilliance but was beginning to falter)
1999: WWF
2000: WWF
2001: WWF (WCW was getting better, but it was too little, too late)

I grew up in Florida, so I was in the heart of WCW country. Everyone at school was talking about Nitro the next day every week. When I say everybody, I mean literally the entire homeroom class. I'm talking about rich kids, poor kids, honor roll kids and both girls & guys. The WWF, even in its hay day, never had everyone talking about wrestling in my school like 1997/1998 WCW.

I split it down the middle. The undercard in the WWF was consistently trash, but Nitro had Cruiserweights and Luchadores and Japanese dudes doing stuff. I'd watch the first-ish hour of Nitro, and then flip the channel when Hogan or the NWO or any of the big guys or old guys started clogging up the channel. The Raw main event was usually pretty darn good, and anything I missed on Nitro I could flip through during the replay.
