Then you should understand that athleticism is multifaceted.
depends on where we draw the line on facets
sidenote: i played soccer from 3rd grade til 8th grade, im an avid fan of the sport
You don't necessarily have to draw the line. Your previous post seemed to suggest that having a nice body contributed to athleticism. I don't agree with that at all. If you're working out constantly, of course your body is going to adapt to that. The way it changes depends on the individual..not everyone is going to get an awesome 6-pack. I think that judging which athletes are in the best shape would be to rate how high each sport incorporates speed, agility, strength, and endurance. Opinions will vary based on how much weight each of those categories carries.
i mean you say these things
and try to prop up a sport that has 2 of those at best :wot:
and also i said d ends are the most athletic men in the world, yet they dont all have 6 packs :vince:
Explain to me how boxing doesn't require all four
defensive ends/outside linebackers in the NFL
runner up: light heavy weight and up boxers
My bad.
What sport were you talking about then? Shot put? It's definitely not the most athletic sport, but I could go on and on about explaining about it.
Well both of those sports require an immense amount of running. More than most sports, and that running occurs on a grassy playfield. On top of that they have quite a bit of contact so being in pain and still maintaining that high stamina is worthy. Being hurt, having that high stamina, and having high accuracy is also a must.
To compare, football yeah they have a lot of contact but they have all the padding in the world, more than any other sport, plus they are not running all the time.
Basketball, they run but it's a much shorter distance than a rugby or soccer field. Also, they rarely play, hurt.
This is a damn lie.
Not intentionally within games. Most of the times you touch anyone even slightly aggressively you will be fouled.
soccer/rugby
its mainly cause ive played the sport for so long
my old roomate was from ghana and he too thought rooney(despite his gut) was the most athletic man on the planet :cheff: then i took him to an Auburn game and he changed his opinion....to Manny Pacquiao
i guess he's in limbo nowadays
