Either soccer or rugby players are the most athletic. No debating.

why is this?

Well both of those sports require an immense amount of running. More than most sports, and that running occurs on a grassy playfield. On top of that they have quite a bit of contact so being in pain and still maintaining that high stamina is :salute: worthy. Being hurt, having that high stamina, and having high accuracy is also a must.

To compare, football yeah they have a lot of contact but they have all the padding in the world, more than any other sport, plus they are not running all the time.

Basketball, they run but it's a much shorter distance than a rugby or soccer field. Also, they rarely play, hurt.

But all runners do is run. Other sports, like soccer and boxing, require a deeper dimension of athleticism (ie strength, agility).

So you're going to ignore the rest of my post :wot:

1. High stamina needed
2. High amount of pain and tolerates it
3. High accuracy needed (hand/eye coordination or in soccer feet/head/knee/chest/shin/eye coordination...)

1. marathon runners got plenty of stamina
2. pain? taking a dive doesnt count
3. accuracy has nothing to do with being in shape

thats like saying Peyton Manning is a great athlete cause he throws a nice fade :cheff: its stupid

You can't always tell an athlete by how they look. I threw shot put all through high school and college, and you don't have to have a 6 pack or anything to perform well.

Edit..and if homeboy got a tan, he would look a lot better lol.

so how do you judge athleticism?

golf players are the most accurate sportsman on earth
baseball outfielders/hitters have eye tracking better than any other sport
soccer players have great foot/eye coordination

we gonna say that constitutes athleticism? now if you said skill id be :ehh: but athleticism...theres only a handful of soccer players(and even less rugby players) that could play other sports other than soccer to be honest

part of that is size, some of that is build

the truth about all 3 sports is that anyone...and i mean anyone with proper training could eventually be a lionel messi

but you will never see demarcus ware's being grown regularly. ya feel me

you cant teach genetics, i dont wanna turn this into a soccer beef thread so this my last post on this :hbk:

Yes. An athlete is a person trained or gifted in exercises or contests involving physical agility, stamina, or strength.

ANYONE can become an athlete, breh.

Have you ever even been an athlete?
